If you have never placed a factory order before, the vocabulary alone is enough to slow things down: tooling, cavity, T1 sample, DFM, MOQ, FOB. None of it is complicated, but it only makes sense once you see the order of operations.
What OEM actually means here
OEM means the product is made by us and sold under your brand. In our case that covers three different things, and buyers often mix them up:
- Stock model, your branding. One of our 21 existing models, produced in your colour with your logo and packaging. No new tooling.
- Stock model, modified. An existing model with a change — a different magnet layout, a wider ring, a different hinge tension.
- New development. A product that does not exist yet in our range. This one needs a new mould and 4–6 weeks of development.
Most first orders are the first kind. It is the fastest way to test your market without spending money on tooling.
The four steps, and how long each one takes
| Step | What happens | Time |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Design & structure review | We look at your drawing or reference sample, check whether the mechanism and materials work, and confirm the price. | Within 1 day |
| 2. Tooling & sampling | Mould check or new tooling, then a sample is produced, assembled and tested. | 7–10 working days after the drawing is confirmed |
| 3. Mass production | Injection moulding, assembly, logo application. | 7–12 days after you approve the sample |
| 4. Quality check & shipping | Final inspection, packing, handover to the forwarder. | 3–5 days, FOB Shenzhen |
So a normal custom order is roughly three to five weeks from confirmed drawing to goods on a ship, and the clock only starts when the drawing is frozen.
What we need from you before we can quote
- A drawing (PDF, STEP or AI), or a photo of the sample you want to match.
- The magnet specification if you have one — we use N52 magnets with a measured strength of about 4,100 GS on the standard ring models.
- Your logo file (AI, EPS or PDF) and where it goes on the product.
- Target quantity, even if it is only a guess.
- The market you sell in, so we can tell you which certifications are worth arranging.
With those five things we can answer with a real price, not a range. Without them the honest answer is “depends”, which wastes a week.
Where MOQ 50 comes from
Our minimum order is 50 pieces for every one of the 21 models, including custom logo, colour and packaging. That number is not a marketing trick: at 50 pieces we can still run your colour on our existing moulds in a normal production slot, without stopping a line for a batch that costs more to set up than it earns.
If you need a smaller number to show buyers, ask for samples first. Samples are quoted separately and ship by express.
Quality control: what we check, and what you should ask for
Every batch goes through the same checkpoints: incoming magnet inspection, in-process checks during assembly, and a final visual and functional inspection before packing. The models with the SK7 hinge are cycle tested to 6,000+ open-and-close movements.
Two things are worth asking any supplier for, including us:
- A short video of the actual batch being tested, filmed on the line rather than staged.
- The measured magnet strength and the exact material grade in writing, so it ends up in the contract, not just in a chat.
What we do not claim
We hold five granted patents in China on the rotating, folding and pressure-relief mechanisms, and the patent numbers are published on our site. We do not hold CE, RoHS, FCC or SGS certificates by default — if your market needs them, we arrange the testing as part of the order and quote the cost and lead time with the goods.

Four mistakes that slow first orders down
- Sending a photo and asking for “best price” — with no size, material or quantity there is no price to give.
- Changing the design after the sample is approved. Every change after that point means new tooling or a new sample cycle.
- Assuming the logo can be any colour on any surface. Laser engraving, silk-screen and UV printing each have their own limits.
- Leaving packaging to the last week. Retail packaging has its own lead time and has to be quoted separately from the product.
How to start
Send the drawing, the quantity and the market. You will get a price, a sampling date and a shipping estimate in one reply — and if the project is not a good fit for our machines, we will say so rather than waste your time.
Need a price for your own model?
Send us your drawing or a reference photo. You will get unit price, sampling time and shipping cost within one working day.
